What is Hoffenmer’s Random Program?

What happens if a driver has a violation in one state and applies for a CDL in another?

The Clearinghouse database holds interstate records to ensure accurate information of the driver’s history.

What information do I need to provide for Hoffenmer to handle my Clearinghouse?

All we need is your company’s name, address, and US DOT number.

COMPANIES AND INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH CLEARINGHOUSE PROCEDURES CAN FACE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES SUCH AS LARGE FINES, OUT OF SERVICE ORDERS, AND OPERATIONAL DELAYS.

* EXEMPTIONS:

The following are exempt from the Clearinghouse Mandate:

You operate a farm vehicle that is:

  • Controlled and operated by the farmer (not a third-party company)
  • Used to transport agricultural products, machinery, farm supplies to or from the farm only
  • Used only within a 150-mile radius of the farm
  • Not used ‘for-hire’

Farm vehicles can be used ‘for-hire’ only if it is:

  • A straight or articulated truck
  • Identified as a farm vehicle by state registration
  • Used to transport farm stock, machinery, or farm commodities
  • Less than 26,000 GVWR - can travel anywhere in the US
  • More than 26,000 GVWR - can travel only within a 150-mile radius
