Our team will provide confirmation via email or phone, ensuring your driver’s test is arranged conveniently near their location, once SAP program concludes.

RTD Return-to-Duty Testing

DO YOU HAVE A PROHIBITED STATUS DUE TO A DRUG OR ALCOHOL VIOLATION?

COMPLETE THE RETURN-TO-DUTY PROCESS TO REMOVE YOUR PROHIBITED STATUS BY FOLLOWING THESE STEPS.

1

SELECT A SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROFESSIONAL

Federal Processors will provide you with a list of U.S. DOT qualified Substance Abuse Professionals (SAP) near you.

The Professional you choose will evaluate your case and decide the best course of action for educational and treatment programs.

Your SAP will determine when you are eligible to take the return-to-duty test upon completion of your education/treatment course.

2

RETURN-TO-DUTY TEST

You must complete a negative drug or alcohol test.

After testing negative, your results will be entered into the Clearinghouse system.

3

STATUS CHANGE

Your Clearinghouse status will be updated to “not prohibited” and you can utilize your CDL again.

To remain compliant, you will be administered six unannounced drug/alcohol tests within the first 12 months of returning to duty.
